Inventory & Retail Operations Executive

Job Overview

The Inventory & Retail Operations Executive is responsible for supporting accurate, visible and commercially healthy stock across Klikk retail outlets, warehouse and related channels. The role monitors stock movement, identifies stock gaps, highlights slow-moving or stagnant stock, supports stock accuracy and provides practical observations to assist procurement, retail, marketing and management decisions. Its main purpose is to observe, analyse, coordinate and report on stock-related opportunities and risks, ensuring that stock is in the right place, visible where needed and commercially acted upon when movement is weak.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Inventory Monitoring & Stock Visibility

  • Monitor inventory levels, stock movement, availability, age and value across retail outlets and warehouse.
  • Identify overstocked, understocked, slow-moving, ageing or incorrectly located stock.
  • Analyse inventory trends using BI tools and stock reports.
  • Escalate stock risks that may impact sales, availability or customer experience.

Stock Movement, Transfers & Accuracy

  • Monitor and coordinate stock movement between outlets and warehouse.
  • Recommend stock transfers to improve product availability and sell-through.
  • Support stock takes, cycle counts, spot checks and inventory audits.
  • Investigate stock discrepancies and maintain accurate inventory records.

Procurement Observation & Range Gap Support

  • Monitor product availability, stock movement and range gaps.
  • Provide procurement with stock insights and recommendations based on inventory performance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve product range and category coverage.

Slow-Moving, Stagnant & Risk Stock

  • Recommend actions such as transfers, promotions, bundles, price reviews or clearance.
  • Coordinate with relevant teams and monitor the effectiveness of agreed actions.

Product Display Visibility & Retail Stock Presentation

  • Prepare display priorities based on stock levels, commercial value and campaigns.
  • Coordinate with outlet teams to improve product presentation, demo visibility and pricing accuracy.

Marketing & Promotional Coordination

  • Support Marketing by identifying products suitable for promotions, bundles and clearance campaigns.
  • Provide stock information to support commercial and promotional decisions.
  • Review campaign performance in relation to stock movement.

Systems, Reporting & Process Improvement

  • Use inventory, POS and BI systems to monitor stock performance.
  • Prepare reports on stock movement, inventory risks and transfer recommendations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve inventory processes, reporting and stock visibility.
  • Maintain documentation of recurring stock issues and improvement initiatives.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required

Education / Qualifications

  • Secondary education or higher.
  • Additional training in retail operations, stock control, business administration, procurement support or data/reporting would be considered an asset.

Experience

  • Minimum 2–3 years' experience in retail operations, stock control, inventory management, procurement support or a similar role.
  • Experience in technology retail would be considered an asset.
