Real-Time Contact and Improved Striking
The new Real-Time Contact system uses Frostbite-powered physics to improve ragdoll reactions, contact windows, damage feedback, and hit reactions. Strikes are designed to connect more naturally based on timing, distance, positioning, and vulnerability, making close-range exchanges feel more precise and physical.

Striking has also been expanded through fighter-specific attack variants. A hook, kick, or combination can look and behave differently depending on the athlete using it. This gives fighters clearer strengths and tradeoffs, whether they rely on pressure, counter-striking, range management, or heavy power shots.

Flow States
Flow States are one of the major new gameplay systems in UFC 6. The system includes 30 unique fighter Flow States built around authentic strengths, tendencies, and fight IQ. When players fight in a way that matches their selected athlete’s real-world style, they build momentum and can activate advantages tied to that fighter’s identity.

Each fighter can have a combination of perks and a dedicated Flow State, adding another strategic layer before and during each fight. This means players are rewarded for understanding not only a fighter’s stats, but also how that fighter is meant to win.

Defense, Evasion, and Fighter Styles
Defense in UFC 6 has been expanded with new Defense Styles, improved head movement, lunges, parries, and more responsive evasive tools. Defensive play is no longer treated as a one-size-fits-all system, giving fighters more distinct ways to block, move, absorb damage, or make opponents miss.

Players can use styles such as Balanced, Sturdy, Evasive, and Philly Shell, with each style offering different advantages and weaknesses. This makes defense a larger part of matchup strategy, especially when dealing with pressure fighters, counter-strikers, or athletes with dangerous power.

New Player Tools and Practice Mode
UFC 6 includes onboarding tools designed to help new players understand timing, defense, and striking fundamentals. Time Dilation can slow down key moments in offline play, while Stand-Up Assist provides AI support for striking and defense so players can focus on positioning, distance, and decision-making.

Practice Mode has also been improved with new HUD tools for frame timing and real-time vulnerability. These features help players study startup, recovery, damage windows, movement risk, counter timing, and matchup-specific situations in more detail.

UFC 6 Game Modes
UFC 6 adds several modes built around fighter stories, long-term progression, and personal player identity. Alongside traditional fighting options, the game introduces new ways to experience UFC careers, legends, and roster progression.

The Legacy
The Legacy is a standalone narrative experience that acts as a prologue to UFC Career Mode. Players step into the role of Chris Carter, a collegiate wrestling prospect working through the regional MMA scene while trying to reach the UFC and deal with his father’s legacy.

The mode uses cinematic storytelling, original characters, rivalries, and guided onboarding to introduce core mechanics before transitioning into the wider career experience.

UFC Career Mode
UFC Career Mode puts players directly into the highest level of the sport, letting them continue Chris Carter’s journey, create a new fighter, or use a UFC athlete. Career progression includes training camps, hype and fitness management, social media interactions, narrative events, championship paths, and decision-driven progression.

The mode has been expanded with more meaningful choices, dynamic consequences, late-game progression, two-division opportunities, and a dedicated BMF title flow when specific conditions are met.

Hall of Legends
Hall of Legends is an immersive mode focused on the stories, careers, and defining moments of UFC icons. The mode features interactive museum-style spaces built around fighters such as Max Holloway, Alex Pereira, and Zhang Weili.

Players can explore each Hall, view documentary-style content, learn about key moments from each fighter’s life and career, and complete curated fights based on iconic UFC moments.

The Gym
The Gym acts as a connected progression hub across UFC 6. Players can recruit fighters, manage trainers, track Gym progression, complete Punch Cards and Challenges, customize their profile, and build a roster that reflects their preferred fighters and playstyle.

Fighter progression in The Gym is cosmetic and does not affect competitive balance or fighter stats. Instead, it gives players another way to unlock rewards, represent favorite fighters, and stay connected to roster progression across the game.
